Refunds and the right of withdrawal
The guide is a digital file delivered the moment you pay. That changes how the statutory cooling-off period works, and this page explains exactly how — including the cases where we refund anyway.

The short version
You are asked, at checkout, to confirm two things: that you want the file delivered immediately, and that you understand this ends your right to withdraw once the download begins. That is a legal requirement, not fine print — without both confirmations the right survives.
If the file does not work, is not what this page describes, or never reaches you, you get your money back. That is a separate statutory right and nothing on this page limits it.
The 14-day right of withdrawal, and why it ends early here
Consumers buying at a distance in the European Union normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase without giving a reason. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, that right is lost once supply has begun, provided the consumer gave prior express consent and acknowledged the loss of the right. This follows Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. Buyers in the United Kingdom have the equivalent under regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
In practice: the checkbox at checkout is where you give that consent. If you would rather keep the 14-day period, do not tick it — but then we cannot release the download, because releasing it is what extinguishes the right.
When we refund
- The download does not work. A broken link, a corrupt file, or a file that will not open. Tell us and we will send a working copy; if we cannot, we refund in full.
- You never received it. If payment was taken and no file was delivered, we refund in full.
- The content is materially not as described. This page and the guide page describe a 304-page PDF with 13 chapters and 6 appendices. If what you receive does not match that, we refund.
- You were charged twice. We refund the duplicate without you having to ask twice.
When we do not refund
- You read the guide and decided auctions are not for you. That is a reasonable conclusion and part of what the guide is for, but it is not a defect.
- You bid at auction and it went badly. The guide is information, not advice, and it does not warrant any outcome. See our terms.
- You wanted live auction listings. We do not sell data and the guide page does not offer any; the listings are free on Spain’s official portal.
How to ask
Email hello@auctionspain.com from the address you used at checkout, and say what went wrong. You do not need a form or a reason code. We aim to reply within two working days.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. The money leaves us immediately; how quickly it appears depends on your bank, typically 5 to 10 working days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer
Consumers in the EU can use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform, and consumers anywhere can raise the matter with the consumer protection authority of Spain. Nothing here removes any right you have under the consumer law of your own country of residence.
